Lily Cheng is the founder of Hubel Labs, a boutique AI and tech advisory firm serving the C-suite of some of the largest companies worldwide across professional services, consumer, fintech and travel sectors.
Lily was the former President of TripAdvisor Asia Pacific and now serves as on the board of Large Cap companies as an independent Non-Executive Director, including:
- Cathay Pacific Limited (HKSE: 0293) - Independent Non-executive Director, Chairman of the Remuneration Committee, Member of the Audit Committee and member of the Board Safety Review Committee.
- Chow Tai Fook Jewelry Limited (HKSE: 1929) - Independent Non-executive Director, Nomination Committee Member, Sustainability Committee Member.
In addition to public directorships, Lily is works selectively with a limited number of privately held organization as a senior advisor bringing experience in technology and strategy to the highest echelons of corporations navigating change. Positions include:
- External Global Council member of elite international law firm, Herbert Smith Freehills LLP
- Global Digital Advisory Board member of Mars PetCare, a US$30Bn business
Between 2017 and 2024, Lily also held the following directorships and advisory positions:
- Independent Non-Executive Director of listed real-estate company Swire Properties Limited (HKSE: 1972) and served on its Audit Committee and Digital Steering Committee.
- Independent board director of a HKMA-regulated fintech and digital payment operator, Octopus Cards
- Board member and advisor to private-equity backed European traveltech business, HBX Group
- Independent board director of Sunevision Limited (HKSE: 1686), a publicly traded datacenter operator based in Hong Kong
- Advisor to the Office of the President of Mars Inc, with a focus on Mars’ global portfolio of petcare businesses as well as China portfolio and investments
- Member of the advisory board of the Chinese University of Hong Kong Executive MBA Program
Lily holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Engineering, a Master of Engineering degree with distinction from the University of Cambridge and holds a graduate certificate in Artificial Intelligence from Stanford University.
She was named Leading Woman Director or Executive at the 19th Women of Influence Awards by the American Chamber of Commerce in 2023 and Prestige Magazine Women of Power 2024.
